In line with advancing the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, the master plan for the Saih Al Salam Scenic Route development has been approved. These projects will be implemented in partnership with the private sector. A series of development projects and initiatives to develop Dubai’s rural areas and countryside during the period from 2024 to 2028 has also been approved. It includes 37 projects and initiatives, with an estimated cost of around AED 390. These projects fall under one of the key pillars of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan: the development of Dubai's countryside and rural areas.
The development of various facilities, along with the expansion of activities, events, and services within the Saih Al Salam Scenic Route project, aims to increase the number of tourists from around half a million annually to over three million by 2040. This will strengthen the area's position as one of Dubai's main tourist destinations, while also expanding investment opportunities for residents and preserving the area's unique nature and identity.
Additionally, 37 projects and initiatives have been approved as part of the plan to develop Dubai's rural and countryside areas over the next five years. The aim is to provide all necessary services, facilities, and amenities for the residents and visitors of these areas, preserve the environment, and offer unique destinations for nature and adventure enthusiasts. This reinforces Dubai's position as a tourist destination which offers comprehensive and exceptional experiences.
