His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the Dubai Social Agenda 33 for the decade until 2033 highlighting the theme of ‘Family: The Foundation of Our Nation’. The agenda aims to form stable families and prepare the upcoming generations to be confident with strong capabilities, adhering to their identities and ready for what the future will bring. Moreover, the agenda’s budget is AED 208 billion for the upcoming 10 years.
The Dubai Social Agenda 33 outlines five main purposes, the first of which focuses on fostering happy, cohesive and tolerant families that are well connected to local values and their national identity. The second purpose addresses the building of the most efficient healthcare system by promoting healthy lifestyles.
The third purpose is to create an education system that meets Dubai’s future aspirations and enhances its human capital, and the fourth purpose focuses on creating a more active and proactive social system that provides protection and empowerment. As for the fifth purpose, it focuses on developing a city offering the best living experience, residential services, cultural and sporting activities.
Allocation of 3,500 plots of land and 2,300 ready-to-move-in houses
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved the first series of transformative projects for the year 2024, which includes the allocation of 3,500 plots of land to be distributed among citizens in Dubai, besides 2,300 ready-to-move-in houses across Dubai valued at AED5.5 billion. His Highness also issued directives to name the new area designated for the housing project for citizens as ‘Latifa City’.
The housing plots earmarked for citizens dot an area spanning 40 million square feet, with eligible citizens from Dubai to be handed over ownership in February. These include 2,700 plots in Latifa City and 800 plots in Al Yalayis 5 area. The 2,300 new houses for citizens are located across areas in Al Khawaneej 2, Al Aweer, Wadi Al Amardi, and Hatta. These houses will be handed to the citizens by the end of the current year 2024.
Hamdan bin Mohammed launches ‘Dubai Integrated Housing Center’
In alignment with the Dubai Social Agenda 33 which aims to meet the aspirations of citizens in terms of work, living and services, highlighting the theme of ‘Family: The Foundation of Our Nation’, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of Dubai’s Higher Committee for Development and Citizens Affairs, launched the ‘Dubai Integrated Housing Center’, located at Avenue Mall in Nad Al Sheba, which seeks to provide 54 residential services for citizens under one roof. It is scheduled to commence operations in February, and it will provide services from four government departments and two private sector partners.
Furthermore, the center will provide comprehensive support, including consultancy for design selection, guidance on cost-saving measures and assistance with financing through banks. The goal is to create a comfortable environment with convenient access, ensuring a seamless, easy and efficient home-building experience for citizens. In addition, the four government entities offering around 54 integrated services through the Center include the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment; Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality and Dubai Land. Additionally, two private partners, Emirates Islamic Bank and Sobha Realty, are also contributing to the array of services offered.
